Click on “Create” in Project Module and enter the name of the project
2. Project Stages
Divide the whole project into various stages. Stages contain set of different activities to be performed in a project. Stages are very important as they guide from the beginning to the end of project. Success of project depends on right staging of activities.
3. Creating and Assigning Tasks
Once the project is created, project can be divided into multiple tasks. For that you need to create a task. Once the task is created you can assign the task to the eligible person or team. Tasks can also be sorted as per its priority by marking the star.
Click on “Create” in project module to create a task
Select whom you want to assign the task under “Assigned to”
4. Time Tracking
Get a record of total time spent on project and each tasks with timesheet app. Employees can track the time spent by them for task and project. With time sheet app you can also calculate the time required to complete the remaining work.
5. Kanban View
Kanban view allows the businesses to use drag and drop feature to assign tasks, create stages, edit the tasks/project details and requirements, get a proper status of the tasks. Also you can view the remaining tasks and time for completion of project.
6. Subtask
Odoo provides the functionality of splitting large tasks into parent and subtasks. Subtask makes sure that employees are not overloaded with work. To create a subtask
Go to Project > Configuration > Settings > Sub-tasks
7. Forecasting Resources
Forecast the projects deadline keeping the available resources and employees holidays into account. Allocate the needed time and analyze KPIs for evaluating the performance and get an overview of employee workload and results of the project.
8. Email Integration
Every project has its own email alias, Odoo gives an advantage of converting the emails sent on this alias into the tasks. Emails are then shown under the name of the project created.
9. Invoicing
Reduce the billing process at the end of the work by calculating the total time spent on the work. Once the total time is recorded you can create sales order to generate an invoice for total work done.
10. Analyzing
Get all the available statistics of the tasks to know about the performance of your project. Get a proper report of revenue, time spent, billable hours etc. for the project.
